A Comox resident got an early Christmas gift by winning $500,000 dollars from Lotto Max.
Meghan Reaume was out shopping when she saw the Lotto Max jackpot and decided to buy a ticket at Esso on Anderton Road.
Upon finding the ticket later, she checked the BCLC’s Lotto! App and found out she won half-a-million dollars.
It was a surreal Saturday, according to her.
“I showed my dad my phone, and he said, ‘no way!’,” said Reaume. “It was a surreal Saturday.”
She plans on visiting some family members she hasn’t seen in years in Ontario.
