UPDATE: Snowfall warning ended for Comox Valley, Campbell River

12 p.m.

The snowfall warning from Environment and Climate Change Canada has ended.

Winter weather will stick around for most of today in the Comox Valley and Campbell River.

A snowfall warning issued this morning by Environment and Climate Change Canada says between five and 10 centimetres of snow can be expected this morning.

They say this is because of a low-pressure system over the Washington coast that is spreading heavy snow to the northern sections of east Vancouver Island.

Snow is expected to ease late this morning, but visibility could be low with the heavy snowfall.

Environment Canada asks you to be ready to change your driving as road conditions change and to monitor more forecasts and alerts.
