Comox Valley Half-Marathon causing some road closures today

With the Comox Valley RV Half Marathon scheduled for Sunday, drivers can expect some temporary road closures throughout today.

This half-marathon is part of the Vancouver Island race series, which has been running in some form for 42 years on the island.

The closures are on Anderton Avenue between 1st and 5th street due to the marathon, with single-lane alternating traffic in effect from 1st street to Condensory Bridge.

According to the City of Courtenay, the closure is scheduled to last from 8 am to 4 pm, with the marathon course lasting from 9 am to 1:30 pm.
