19 Wing reminds Airforce Beach users seasons or day passes are required

If you are wanting to access Airforce Beach, especially with the Snowbirds in town, you will need to buy either a seasons or day pass.

That’s from 19 Wing CFB Comox, who add that the beach is Department of National Defence property. They add these passes are required throughout the year.

A season pass costs $30, according to 19 Wing Public Affairs and while the Snowbirds are in the valley, day passes can be bought between Monday and Friday for $5.

Passes can be purchased at the campground office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Passes are also required on the weekends and only a limited number of vehicles will be allowed in because of limited parking.

19 Wing adds there are other locations to watch the Snowbirds, including the Heritage Air Park next to the Comox Airforce Museum.
