Multiple exercises at 19 Wing to start next week

You might see an activity increase at 19 Wing for the rest of the month with multiple training exercises coming to the base.

Forces Canada says the training exercises will run between June 12 and 29 over the airfield, at Goose Spit and at Air Force Beach.

19 Wing says you might see an increase in air activity, along with more traffic and military personnel movement between 19 Wing, HMCS Quadra and Seal Bay Armory. Aircrafts visiting will include CF-18 Hornets, Blackhawk helicopters, C-17 Globemasters and others.

They add access to certain military areas might be restricted for safety and security and notices will be posted in advance.

The exercises are routine military training and are designed to ensure realism while keeping public safety.
