Cozy Corner Preschool chosen for provincial childcare initiative

Taking your kids to preschool could be more affordable, as a Courtenay Preschool has been selected as a provider for a provincial initiative.

Called the Childcare Fee Reduction initiative, its focus is to help make childcare more affordable by offering funding to local providers to lower child care fees, with Cozy Corner Preschool now chosen as a provider.

Along with reducing the fees, the city says the preschool will offer more sessions and extended hours to expand services in the community. Sessions will be three or four hours long and will take place either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Details on the reduced fees will be revealed once it’s availabe, with Courtenay Recreation anticipating for more info later this month.

The City adds that participants for this month will be credited for a fee adjustment once more info is available.
