The Comox Valley Regional District has approved a new, three-year strategic plan.
The board of directors finished a strategic planning session in June, where they focused on eight services that cover planning for growth in development areas, improving recreation services, protecting the environment, and preparing for climate change.
Five drivers for this plan include Fiscal Responsibility, Indigenous Relations, and Accessibility, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
CVRD Board Chair Jessie Ketler says they are committed to making sure all residents get the services they need.
“In addition to our drivers, the Board has prioritized several initiatives related to building sewer infrastructure, supporting our agricultural sector and addressing housing affordability in the Comox Valley,” said Ketler.
With the plan officially approved, the district will focus on Key Initiative Development from September to December.
