Mayor sees bright future for the city of Courtenay

Making it to 100 years…that’s quite an accomplishment.

And it’s exactly what the city of Courtenay is celebrating.

The future is bright, with many good things to come in the next 100 years, according to Courtenay Mayor Larry Jangula.

Just this weekend, extraordinary individuals were honoured at the Citizens of the Century ceremony.

One of those individuals is former Courtenay firefighter Paulo Giomo.

There’s still plenty on the go this summer marking Courtenay’s Centennial.

For a full list of events, visit the city’s website.
