The 2015 edition of Vancouver Island MusicFest goes this weekend. And with the hot and dry weather, it’s important to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Festival spokesperson Sue Wood has some tips for event-goers, including keeping yourself hydrated.

Now you may have some questions or concerns about parking at the Fairgrounds. Wood says there is no parking, but organizers have you covered on that, with a shuttle service being offered.

Wood adds another option could be cycling to the Comox Valley Fairgrounds, where the event is taking place. She touches on a venue shift for the Comox Valley Farmers Market, with MusicFest taking place at the usual site of the Farmers Market.

The 2015 edition of Vancouver Island MusicFest goes until Sunday.
