Comox’s curbside collection zones to change next year

With a new curbside collection service set for January, the Town of Comox will be updating its zone boundaries.

According to the Town, the changes will be done to better distribute the number of properties across the collection zones as a way to support future growth.

This comes as a new curbside collection program is set to start in January next year.

While the new zones will be implemented for 2024, some properties under the current blue zone, which covers Pritchard Road and Balmoral Avenue, would miss a recycling pick-up.

As a result, there will now be a recycling pick-up on Saturday, December 30 for those who live in the blue zone, where they ask you to not take out any garbage or organics to the curb.

For more info on the zones, you can find a guide here.
