Annual Mayor Tree Lighting and Winter Market returns Friday in Comox

The Comox Business in Action will host its annual Mayor Tree Lighting and Winter Market this Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

They say the tree will be lit by mayor Minions at 5:15 p.m. at the Town Circle at Comox Avenue and Port Augusta Street and the Comox Wives Choir will be carolling at 5:45 p.m.

In addition, the Winter Market will have over 20 vendors on Comox Avenue throughout the afternoon, with specials until 7 p.m. Santa will also visit the circle and snowflake lights will brighten the downtown.

The BIA has hosted winter events annually since 2000 to encourage residents and visitors to experience downtown at this special time of year and get to know its members.

“We have an incredible range of amazing family-owned businesses in downtown Comox,” said Comox BIA president Peter Chambers.

“From unique retail boutiques and top-notch restaurants, cafes & breweries, to a depth of service providers – Comox is a fantastic place to celebrate at this time of year.”

More information on the event can be found here.

“On behalf of the BIA Board and our members, we extend our thanks to all those who choose to spend their time in downtown and to the sponsors and partner businesses for their support,” added Chambers.
