You can dive into the new year through the 47th annual Comox Polar Bear Swim.
According to the Town of Comox, the event will see participants dip into the waters of the Salish Sea at Goose Spit, with hot chocolate, prizes, and Comox Fire Rescue on-site.
Town mayor Nicole Minions says there is a sense of renewal when it comes to this event.
“The dip at the Goose Spit is an invigorating way to celebrate 2024,” says Minions.
“We extend a warm welcome to both new participants and returning enthusiasts to join us.”
Registration will kick off at 10:30 am the day of the event, with it starting at 11 am on January 1.
