You might recall our recent story on BC Hydro officials contemplating completely shutting down their Puntledge River Generation Station just about now, in mid July, due to record dry conditions and low river flows. Well, looks like that won’t happen now, says Stephen Watson who speaks for the utility.
Watson says BC Hydro crews are keeping very close tabs on these drought like summer conditions.
Watson says utility staff have been working hard to ensure adequate flows for summer fisheries.
