Heavy snowfall, road conditions close Comox Valley schools

Heavy snowfall overnight and into the morning has prompted the Comox Valley School District to close all schools for the day (Jan 17th).

They say the decision was made with the safety of staff and students in mind and they understand closures like this can be inconvenient.

Environment Canada is calling for 10-20 centimetres for East Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast this morning but conditions should ease late this afternoon.
