Homeowners in Courtenay and Cumberland can learn how to save money on their power bills through a new program.
The home energy navigator program has been launched by the Comox Valley Regional District, city of Courtenay, and Village of Cumberland.
As part of the Residential and emissions reduction and action plan, the goal is to teach owners the process of both energy upgrades and access rebates in the hopes of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Valley.
General Manager of Planning and Development Services for the city Alana Mullaly says the program will bring a centralized place for people to understand the process.
The city says the navigator will also provide one-on-one consultation with an energy expert, virtual energy consultation, selecting a contractor, and regular check-ins.
