Stage one water restrictions to be in effect May 1

Stage one water restrictions are coming into effect next month.

The Comox Valley Regional District says it’s a way for residents to consider their water usage during the spring, with the restrictions affecting the water systems of Black creek-Oyster Bay, Comox valley, Royston, and Union Bay.

Manager of water services, Mike Herschmiller. says although rain will likely fall in the next few weeks, the district wants to remind residents on how they use their water.

You can only do lawn and garden sprinkling between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and between 7:00 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday if you live in an even-numbered address.
