New flight route between Comox and Kelowna coming this summer

Starting in the summer, you can take a flight from Comox to Kelowna via a new route.

Comox Valley Airport says the Pacific Coastal Airlines service between Comox and Kelowna is expected to improve regional connectivity and provide travelers with more options.

CEO of the airport commission, Mike Atkins says they are excited to welcome this new route.

“Our residents love to travel and an Okanagan connection has been in high demand,” said Atkins.

“With quick and convenient service six days a week, we’re eager to show off the nature and culture of the Comox Valley and be the perfect gateway to Vancouver Island for travelers from BC’s Interior.”

The route will run from Sundays to Fridays, serviced by a Beechcraft 1900 aircraft.

The airport adds it will be added to the summer schedule, with its first flight taking place on June 25.

The schedule will see a flight from Comox to Kelowna starting at 10:20 a.m., and a flight from Kelowna to Comox starting at 8:45 a.m.
