Boosting the local economy

Helping out small businesses and creating jobs in Canada. That’s the message NDP Finance Critic Nathan Cullen is looking to spread as he tours the Island.

He was recently in the Comox Valley, as well as the Campbell River and Nanaimo areas…meeting with local business members.

Cullen says the tour has focused on boosting small, local businesses.

He says some of those proposals include lowering the small business tax rate by 25 percent, and providing affordable child care.

Cullen says there’s an abundance of good entrepreneurs around the Island. The Skeena–Bulkley Valley MP continues his tour.
