Funding shot announced for Comox Marina Park project

A big boost for the Comox Marina!

North Island MP John Duncan has announced an investment of$560,134 through the Western Diversification Program. It will go towards the construction of the Comox Marina Centre Meeting Place.

Town Mayor Paul Ives is very excited about the move. He says the project will cost about $1.2 million and will help boost the local tourism economy.

He says discussions on the project began almost 3 years ago, but things have picked up quite a bit of speed in the past 6 months.
