Comox will celebrate Move for Health Day with some try-it classes next week.
Move for Health Day is an annual day meant to promote physical activity, with Comox Community Centre staff bringing free classes for you to try out. Most of the classes are happening in the Centre.
The first class is Spin core & Pelvic floor, which sees 25 minutes of spin followed by 20 minutes of postpartum safe core, pelvic floor work, and stretching. That class starts at 8:00 a.m. at the Fitness Annex.
A few hours later, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., you can learn Pilates in Room C. Pilates is a workout that strengthens, lengthens, and tones the muscles by doing repetitive and controlled movements.
The next class is yoga strength and core, running from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. in the MP Hall.
For the final class, you will get to try out an outdoor circuit workout at Filberg Park from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The town says before the day, you can share your health routines. There will be a motivational board in the community centre you can pin notes in, where entries are put into a draw to win prizes.
All of the classes are on Friday May 10.
