SAR crews recover more personal belongings of missing Comox Valley hiker

Search and Rescue crews have discovered more personal belongings of missing Comox Valley hiker Sylvia Apps, but still no sign of the 69 year old herself.

Comox Valley G-SAR President Paul Berry says, the found the latest items on the north face of Castlecrag Mountain and are focusing search efforts there today.

Berry says recovering more items belonging to Apps is both good and bad news.

Earlier this week, crews recovered the missing backpack of Apps, who’s been missing since July 8th.

Berry says crews have been out since early this morning, and will be out searching until last light.
