Balmoral Avenue to be closed for sewer work next month

Be ready to face a full road closure next month, as construction is scheduled for Balmoral Avenue.

According to the Comox Valley Regional District, crews will be installing a sewer forcemain along Balmoral Avenue east of Pritchard Road as part of the Sewer conveyance project.

Because of the work, Balmoral between Pritchard and Torrence roads will be closed throughout June and July. The work will be on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Despite the closure, the district says access will be provided to those on Marida place, the multi-family complex, and residences in the area.

A notice will be given two weeks before driveway restrictions. In terms of waste pick-up during construction, they say you will be notified in advance.

The work starts June 17.
