The Town of Comox is encouraging you to make your garden more friendly for bees and butterflies.
Pollinator Week is an international event dedicated to spreading awareness of pollinators and the challenges they face, including pesticides, climate change, and habitat loss.
The town says pollinators are important for the local agriculture, gardens, and natural areas.
For this week, they encourage you to add native plants to your landscape design, provide water stations for bees and butterflies and to avoid using pesticides.
The week runs from June 17 to 23.
