Town of Comox looking for feedback on parks and trails plan this summer

The Town of Comox is looking for your feedback on the second phase of the parks and trails master plan this summer.

The plan, currently in development, will be used as a guide for the town to improve its parks and trails for the next decade. It has three phases, with the town saying phase two is underway.

Mayor Nicole Minions says it was impressive hearing from over 800 community members during phase one.

“Now, in Phase 2, we are in the middle of the process, and this is a key time for feedback,” said Minions. “We are reviewing what we’ve heard and where we are going before developing the full details of the plan.”

They say for this phase, they’re looking for your thoughts on the draft’s vision, goals, emerging directions, and priority locations for key amenities.

You can share your input by either attending a community event on July 6 at Comox Marina Park from 10:30 to 12:30, going to pop-up events throughout next month, or filling in an online survey.

You have until August 5 to provide feedback, and for where’s the survey, click here.
