Comox Valley RCMP are asking for your help in finding suspects from a Market Day theft.
Police say the incident happened on July 20 in Courtenay, where one suspect reportedly took a generator from the parking lot on the corner of 5th street and England Avenue between 5 and 6:00 p.m.
After speaking to businesses in the area, investigators were able to find local surveillance footage of two suspects exchanging the generator.
Media Relations Officer and Constable Monkia Terragni says they are concerned and disappointed that the theft affected both businesses and a local event for the community.
“We are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist us in ensuring that such events remain safe and pleasant for everyone,” said Terragni.
They say anyone who has information on the suspects should call Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321.
