CVRD asking for your feedback on parks and trails plan

The Comox Valley Regional District is asking for your feedback on a parks and trails plan.

In a release, the district says their Regional Parks and Trails Strategic plan is in its final phase, with plans to finalize it sometime in the fall.

The goal of the plan is to guide how the district plans for, manages, and invests in developing a new parks and trails system for the next 20 years.

Chair of the Regional Parks and Trails Committee and Mayor of Cumberland Vickey Brown says working through this plan has been exciting.

“We look forward to finalizing the plan this fall and implementing this strategic plan to benefit conservation and recreation opportunities in our region for years to come,” said Brown.

The district says during phases one and two, the feedback they got from K’omoks First Nation, partners, and community helped shape the directions of the plan so far.

For this phase, they ask you to review and give feedback on the plan, with a comment form availabe here.

The plan can be found here, and you have until October 15 to give feedback.
