VIU Nanaimo holding family-friendly festival this coming Saturday

Vancouver Island University is hosting a festival for all ages this coming weekend.

On October 5, the Nanaimo campus is holding a family-friendly festival to showcase the university and all it has to offer. It’s meant to appeal to prospective students, and to families looking for something fun to do on the weekend.

There will be live music, bhangra dancing, a pumpkin patch, food trucks, and even a beer garden on the patio upstairs in the cafeteria. There will also be a fun zone for kids with a bouncy castle obstacle course.

The festival is Saturday from 12 to 4 pm. VIU reps will be handing out maps and schedules on site.

Visit VIU’s website for more information.
