The Town of Comox has extended its Downtown Vitalization Bylaw.
The program provides property owners with tax incentives for residential developments.
Mayor Paul Ives says the program has been extended for one year. He says they’ve noticed that there’s been a renewed interest in redevelopment.
He says the real focus is to encourage residential development for the downtown core.
Ives says there are a number of projects that are in the works that may be able to take advantage of the tax incentives.
