If you’re heading down island, new road improvements should help to make that drive through Nanaimo a little quicker.
The province has wrapped up road improvement work on the Nanaimo Parkway.
Spokesperson Janelle Erwin says two left turn lanes have been expanded to two lanes to help move that traffic off the parkway faster.
Erwin notes there are a number of other road improvement projects slated for the island this summer, so it’s always a good idea to check the Drive BC website before you head out on a road trip.
