The Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Association is working to honour a long-time fixture in the downtown area.
The DC BIA is fundraising for a mural on the side of the Golden Carriage, honouring the Leung family.
Spokesperson Jenny Deters says many people who grew up in the Comox Valley have memories of going to Leung’s grocery and diner.
Deters says the goal is to begin the work by the end of July.
