BC’s first cable ferry is going in for some warranty work. The Baynes Sound Connector is off the Denman – Buckley Bay route as of today so it can go in for some servicing.
BC Ferries Vice President of Engineering, Mark Wilson, says it’s mostly aesthetic work like paint touch-ups. He notes there are no major defects, but some minor things that need to be cleaned up.
The MV Quinitsa will be on the route while the cable ferry is out of service. The work is expected to take about four weeks.
