Investment for new science centre at VIU

The provincial and federal governments are providing a big investment to Vancouver Island University.

A new health and science centre will be built at VIU’s Nanaimo campus.

MLA for Parksville-Qualicum, Michelle Stilwell says the new facility will better prepare students for challenging and rewarding careers.

The centre will include new teaching labs for nursing and other health programs and a new research laboratory, which conducts applied research in the area of environmental sciences.
