Wind warning in effect

COMOX VALLEY, B.C.- Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for East Vancouver Island.

The notice is in effect from Courtenay to Campbell River, as well as Nanoose Bay to Fanny Bay.

According to the weather agency, an intense frontal system approaching the Coast will spread strong southeasterly winds to some inner south coast regions this morning.

The strongest winds are expected to slow through this evening. Further updates can be found at Environment Canada’s website.
