Langford man faces meth charges after blocking traffic

COURTENAY, B.C- A man from southern Vancouver Island is facing charges after methamphetamine was found in Courtenay.

According to the Comox Valley RCMP, a vehicle was blocking traffic on the 300 block of Anderton Avenue on July 8.

When police arrived, they found the vehicle parked on top of a cement barrier.

An impaired driving investigation was started and when the driver was searched, police located a large quantity of what is believed to be methamphetamine.  The driver was also wanted on several warrants out of Victoria.

Jeremy Jason Sauve, a 32 year old man from Langford, has been named as the accused.

He is currently charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and obstruction of a peace officer.

A man by the same name has a court record stretching back to 2008, mainly consisting of traffic tickets.

He’ll be appearing at the Courtenay courts on July 26.
