The Morrison Creek Stream Keepers will conduct spawning tours. Attendees can sign up for walking tours during the event at the Stream Keepers table, and are advised to wear decent footwear.

“While wandering the school grounds, take in the unique mural created by Tracy Kobus,
depicting Coho heading upstream in a setting of Maples and Douglas fir, along with ravens, tree frogs and the Morrison Creek lamprey. Beautiful salmon-themed artwork created by students will also be on display inside the school,” read a release from the school district.

The 3rd annual Salmon Day Festival is supported by the Morrison Creek Stream Keepers, Comox Valley Schools Indigenous Education program, DFO, and the École Puntledge Park Parent Advisory Committee.
