The CVRD says the Comox Valley is back under a Stage 1 water restriction.
The restrictions were in place because BC Hydro drained their Penstock for planned maintenance repairs and moved to an emergency back-up pump station.
In addition to the work finishing early, a lot of rain in September helped BC Hydro increase fish flows down the Puntledge River.
This is the reason why the Comox Valley Water System has been downgraded to Stage 1 water restrictions.
The CVRD says it would like to thank residents for following the restrictions. For more details on permitted water use during Stage 1, click here.
