A call for a water filtration system in the Comox Valley from North Island Medical Health Officer Doctor Charmaine Enns, at a recent presentation to the CVRD water committee.
Doctor Enns says this winter’s lengthy boil water advisory involved sustained and elevated turbidity.
Recent projections peg the cost of a water filtration system at anywhere between 50 and 70-million dollars, but Enns says there are costs involved when it comes to providing good reliable water.

The Comox Valley Regional District has now decided to fire off an application for gas tax funding for the design and installation of a water filtration plant.
