A section of 5th street will be closed tomorrow as BC Hydro crews work to repair a pole in the area.
The City of Courtenay says the repairs will take place along 5th Street between Harmston Avenue and Kilpatrick Avenue from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
Crews will be installing a new water service connection to a new development under construction.
During the work, the city says the road will be closed to through-traffic and vehicles will be detoured through side streets.
The alley behind the same block will also be closed.
It’s asking you to obey all road signs and drive slow in the area to make sure crews stay safe.
