Local fighter successfully defends welterweight title

Comox Valley’s own Chris Anderson is STILL the Battlefield Fight League‘s welterweight champion!

Last night, Anderson defended his title at the River Rock Casino in Richmond.

He was up against Mazadak Pourbohloul. The bout went to the second round, but at the 2:42 mark, Anderson decided he’d had enough, and knocked the lights out of Pourbohloul for the KO victory.

The champ currently trains out of the Comox Valley Boxing Club and holds an amateur record of 8-2-0.
