Two new Co-Executive Directors have been welcomed into the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation.
Rhonda Stevens and Avry Janes have been a part of the Foundation since the summer last year, working together with the now former director Jessica Aldred to prepare for this transition.
Foundation Board Chair Bill Anglin says their familiarity with operations and relationships with partners make them ideal for the role.
“Both have a sincere passion for our community that will serve us well in delivering our mandate,” said Anglin.
“We are extremely fortunate to have two dynamic individuals that know and understand the Foundation leading us to the next level.”
The Foundation says Janes has had many years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, with Stevens having served in the Canadian Armed Forces for more than 29 years.
Aldred was Executive Director for three years, where during her tenure the foundation funded a Stealth Station for complex sinus surgery, expanded cardiac care for the emergency department, and supported cognitive intervention therapy for those suffering with mild to moderate dementia.
This change was announced on Wednesday last week.
