Strange Assault in Cumberland

The Comox Valley RCMP were called out to Cumberland on March 29th, to deal with a reported assault.

According to police, one man was in his yard on the 2600 block of Calhan crescent, when he was held by two men, while they poured gasoline on his arm.

Constable Don Sinclair says arrests have been made in this bizarre case.

“Police attended and located the individuals that perpetrated this,” says Sinclair. “They were arrested and will be appearing before court at a later date.”

Sinclair adds that the gasoline wasn’t ignited, and there were no injuries in that incident.
