The Courtenay Fire Department is currently investigating a trailer fire from the weekend.
According to Deputy fire chief of Operations George Siegler, they got the call at 11:10 on Friday off Braidwood Road where most of the trailer was hit by the flames.
“We had two engines and our tower on scene, so approximately 20 firefighters,” said Siegler.
He says while crews were there between 1 hour and 30 minutes and an hour and 45, the initial knockdown of the fire was 15 to 20 minutes.
Crews then did an overhaul to make sure there were no hidden fires at the scene.
The two occupants of the trailer did not suffer any injuries, but Siegler says no one can live in the trailer anymore because of the damage.
He adds they have an idea of what caused the fire, with crews set to return for more investigation.
