
The Immigrant Welcome Centre (IWC) invites the community to come together for an
afternoon of learning, connection, and celebration at a special event on Thursday, September 18, from
4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Immigrant Welcome Centre in Courtenay, 407A 5th Street.
This free community gathering is an opportunity to meet the IWC team, learn about settlement services,
and connect with local organizations that support newcomers and residents alike. Guests will be able to
discover a wide range of social services available in the Comox Valley and beyond, while celebrating the
spirit of inclusive and welcoming communities.
Participating organizations include:
K’omoks First Nation, Today N Tomorrow Learning Society, Association Francophone du Centre de l’Ile,
Comox Valley Transition Society, Health Connect Registry, Immigrant Welcome Centre SWIS and
Settlement teams, Pride Society of the Comox Valley, CEAS (WorkBC), Comox Valley Early Years
Collaborative, Comox Valley Food Bank, Courtenay Fire Department, CV/Arts, RCMP and Victim
Services/Restorative Justice, Comox Valley Regional District Recreation, VI Regional Library, Wachiay
Friendship Centre, and LUSH Valley Food Action Society.
