We are honoured to be welcoming former BC Chief Coroner, Lisa Lapointe, and many special guests to our community for a two-day event (June 3rd & 4th) focused on the deeper story of the toxic drug crisis – engaging in conversation that moves away from the mixed messages and polarized narratives that have plagued communities across BC including ours when trying to understand this public health emergency.

We are also thrilled to be bringing MOCAT’s amazing play, “Precarious: a transformational musical tale” to our community to bring arts-based storytelling into the conversation. This will take place June 3rd – doors open at 6:30pm.

This two-day event will offer the opportunity to hear from people with real life experience and experts sharing evidence-based insights on substance use. This event is co-sponsored by the City of Courtenay, Village of Cumberland, Community Action Initiative (CAI), the Comox Valley Transition Society and our Comox Valley CAT.
