The Earl Naswell Community Christmas Society is holding its annual AGM on Tuesday, May 27th and everyone is welcome to attend.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., in the Evergreen Lounge located in the lower level of the Florence Filberg Center, 411 Anderton Ave., downtown Courtenay.
For over 40 years, the Earl Naswell Community Christmas Dinner has been sharing the spirit of Christmas, serving an amazing turkey and ham dinner to one and all on Christmas Day. In 2024, dozens of volunteers served up 850 dinners and goodies, delivering beautifully decorated packages across the Comox Valley. The Society also partnered with St. George’s United Church last year to provide a location for guests to come inside and enjoy their meal and some Christmas festivities.
Keen volunteers are always needed to see this big event come together and those willing to step up and help with the planning and organizing are most welcome!
Directors of the Society have just completed the steps to become a registered charity with the CRA, something that will prove to be a great benefit in the future.
