Paving work planned on Comox Road Thursday, delays expected

Drivers can expect delays on Comox Road Thursday as paving work gets underway.

The Comox Valley Regional District said work will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic will be slowed, with a lane shift in place and intermittent lane closures or brief full stops to allow construction vehicles through.

“Efforts will be made to limit traffic queuing along Comox Road as part of the traffic management plan,” said the regional district.

Pedestrians and cyclists will also be detoured.

The work is part of the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project.
