Courtenay resident survey returns Nov. 5

It’s almost survey time in Courtenay.

The city is preparing to launch its annual resident survey next month, asking people for their views on municipal services and community priorities.

The Your Courtenay, Your Voice survey runs from Nov. 5 to 30, with research firm PRA Inc. contacting randomly selected residents by telephone.

Residents must be at least 18 years old to participate, and not everyone will receive a call.

The city uses the results to help shape its strategic priorities and budgets, identify service improvements and gauge residents’ views on quality of life and value for tax dollars.

“The “Your Courtenay, Your Voice” resident survey is a statistically-valid snapshot of community perception of City of Courtenay services, priorities and issues, along with opinion on the community’s overall quality of life, and value for tax dollars,” the city said in a statement.

Now in its fourth year, the survey’s results are expected to be presented to council in early 2027.
