Local teacher confirms tentative deal is for six years

A tentative deal has been struck between the BCTF and the Government, and although few details about the agreement have leaked out, we do know it’s for six years.

That’s according to local teacher’s President Nick Moore, who confirmed that to Goat news today, although he did mention more details need to be worked out.

Teachers are expected to vote on the deal on Thursday, and then if it passes, reports say teachers could be back in the classroom by early next week.

Mediator Vince Ready announced the deal just after 4 this morning.
