Simons unimpressed by lack of fall sitting

The MLA for Powell River – Sunshine Coast isn’t very impressed by the lack of a fall sitting this year.

MLA’s were scheduled to be back in Victoria as of this week, but the fall sitting was cancelled.

Nic Simons says being in the legislature allows for debate on important issues from across the province. He notes it’s a lost opportunity to hold the government to account.

Simons says it’s especially important to be able to have debates about issues affecting the province with an election less than a year away.
