Sourcing home grown food on the agenda at NIC

It’s official, the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation has selected North Island College, as one of several projects nation-wide, to promote sustainable foods at the Courtenay campus. Hamilton says buying local offers a myriad of benefits to local residents and the entire community…

Hamilton says one tangible way to encourage campus consumption of local foods is for farms such as Sieffert’s, to supply the NIC campus cafeteria.
